Traditions - keramik och poster design

Curiosity - exploring realism

Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci we explore form from a realistic perspective. We talked about copyright and worked with free images from pixabay. The students choose a photo of an animal and draw it by using a mathematical grid.

Inspiring person, proportions and manga/kawaii/chibi character

The assignment is an english - art collaboration. The students wrote texts in english, worked with different proportions, started creating digital avatars/characters and then created a drawing of a person that inspires them. 

Perspective - typography and landscape

The students start with one first assignment of picture analysis, we look and discuss famous artwork with perspective principle. 

After that the students draw a cube in one point perspective, we exercise vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines to illustrate a cube in perspective.

In their third moment students draw their names with letters in one point perspective and paint  the background according to contrast and color harmony principles.

IMYC unit Identitet - Skapa en statyett i gips

Tillbaka till Rådans konstatelje vi lär oss om statyer som offenlig konst - Carm Milles och skapar med digitala och traditionella verktyg statyetter som avbildar kända konstverk.

Landskap - komposition och fotografi

På temat IMYC har eleverna fått välja en fotografi som referensbild och applicerat olika kompositionsprinciper för att uttrycka harmoni. Sedan har vi målat landskapet och även utmanat vissa med att lägga till djur i kompositionen.

Perspective - interior 

Uppgiften har varit Community och vi har valt temat landskap. Inspirationen kommer från olika konstverk där man har illustrerat rum, interiör. Eleverna har sedan ritat sina egna rum och diskuterat olika inredningsdesign principer från form till färg.

In their first assignment the students practice perspective principle -  one and two point perspective. 

After that we look at different rooms painted by famous artists, make a sketch of their own room, a mindmap with identity questions and then design and draw their own room according to one of these two principles.

We also practice color theory applying primary, secondary, tertiary color combinations.

Vi har varit på biblioteket där vi har fått chansen att visa elevernas Något som berör arbeten. Vi har även fått veta om hur, hur länge och vad man kan låna på biblioteket. 

                  Porträtt

Vi har börjat arbeta med uppgiften porträtt, vi har tränat olika tekniker och har lärt oss om kända porträtt i konsthistorian.

Något som berör

Sista bilduppgiften hösttermin är ett samarbete svenska - bild och musik. Eleverna skriver, fotograferar, skapar film och musik för att illustrera och uttrycka olika känslor. Vi lärare är stolta över elevernas engagemang och arbete och visar resultatet i en utställning med vernissage för elever, vårdnadshavare och lärare.

Architecture -Famous buildings

Grade 9 have started working with architecture, we have looked at some famous buildings,  connected to movies like Empire State building - King Kong and discussed interesting facts about materials, history and other.

The second moment is for students to practice one point perspective, two point perspective and three point perspective, both object and landscape.

After the practical exercise students are choosing their own building and illustrate it according to one of the perspective principles and a chosen painting style.

We also practice color theory to practice principles like primary, secondary, tertiary, analogue and monocromia.
